Tell our readers a little bit about yourself!
My work has been seen nationally on Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition, The CBS Early Show, CNN Headline News, The Dr. Drew Show, and on the covers of Jacksonville Magazine, Luxury Living, Wedding Event Style and Hola Noticias. I have worked with many celebrities including America’s Next Top Model winners Yoanna House and Whitney Thompson. I’ve traveled around the world and worked on location in places like Puerto Rico, Mexico, London and Miami. My makeup skills have also been featured in FACEON magazine (UK), Playboy Magazine, on Jacksonville’s First Coast News, on the Shannon Miller Lifestyle radio show and in the Florida Times-Union. I was named Best Wedding Makeup Artist in 2009 and 2010 by Jacksonville Magazine. In addition to working as a professional makeup artist, I worked as the Beauty Editor for Jacksonville Luxury Living Magazine and Wedding Event Style Magazine.
Tell us about your beauty beginnings. How and when did you fall in love with makeup?
My very first makeup job was a freelancer for Hard Candy when I was only 16! The job kind of fell into my lap when I was modeling for a local department store. They took me under their wing and gave me extensive makeup training that would be my foundation for my career! I remember thinking ‘Wow I am getting paid to play with makeup? How long can this last?’ Lol! 12 years later, I am doing it for myself and still loving every minute of it!!
How did you hear about Dinair?
Every professional makeup site talks about the infamous airbrush technique! I didn’t want to be left behind so I started Googling different airbrush makeup! I wanted to find something that would be amazing for my clientele, but also something that wouldn’t break the bank! I did a lot of research on makeup artist pro sites and Dinair was a reoccurring name they kept talking about. Once I ordered the makeup and had it in my studio, I fell in love!!!

What are your favorite Dinair products to use?
I love that you can create stencils! I think it’s great for business owners! I actually created a stencil using my logo! It was a huge hit when I airbrushed my logo on my favorite models! I had people calling me asking me how I did it! They couldn’t believe I was able to do it myself with Dinair tools!
How has Dinair and airbrush makeup benefited you professionally?
Whether I am glamming out a bride or one of my celebrity clientele, everybody depends on my team to provide long lasting makeup. Now not only can I do that, but I can guarantee it! We are confident that when we leave, our clients will look amazing all night long!
How has airbrush makeup changed your beauty routines, personally and professionally?
I rarely use traditional makeup anymore. I love the look of full coverage WITHOUT the feeling! It’s amazing, how time after time, I still manage to WOW people with the feeling or lack there of of this makeup! I have also been able to create amazing images for magazine publications that would have taken me hours if I had done it free hand!

What are some of the most outrageous beauty projects you have completed using Dinair professionally?
I have been very blessed to be asked to do work for amazing magazines like UK’s Face On Magazine for professional makeup artists all over the world! I was able to use my airbrush skills to create amazing makeup for the magazine and work with London fashion photographer John Farrar!
Dinair also helped me last year with a benefit for an orphanage in South Africa. I created an event where my photographer friends and I did free shoots for donations and the proceeds went to an orphanage 45 minutes from Capetown. Since Dinair makeup is so quick to apply, I was able to fit more people in at my event! It also really made everyone feel like they were getting the celebrity treatment…while doing it for a good cause!
What do you find to be the most common mistakes women make with makeup?
7 out of 10 women are unhappy with their base color. They go to the department store and go to a line that may have 10 different shades and expect to find their perfect color match! Their is A LOT MORE than 10 different skin tones. So how does someone expect a company with 10 shades will have theirs, bottled up and ready to go? I like the freedom of being able to blend different shades in an airbrush gun and CREATE a color just for you. I also like how easy it is to go from your summer to winter color with an airbrush gun, without getting that ugly orange line!
There is no bigger mistake than wearing the wrong shade!
What is the best advice that you have ever been given?
Stay focused! I know it’s so simple, but the more goals you achieve, the more things you have in your surroundings that will get in the way of achieving your next step. Whether it be a negative person in your life or placing too much attention on something that doesn’t play a role in the big scheme of things….Never let negativity be the reason for you not achieving your dreams!

Where do you see your self in ten years?
10 years….. I see myself still eating, sleeping, and breathing makeup! I see my team doing crazy amazing things together and learning so much from each other on the way! Two of the girls on my team Lia Hanson and Jill Stonier have already gone through so much with me. We all plan to continue to grow and expand together! There are 7 of us on the team now, and with as much fun as we have, it never really feels like work!
Is there anything else you would like to add about yourself or your experiences?
I can’t stress enough, for my sparkles reading this, aspiring to become makeup artists….. Don’t give up! Don’t let anyone tell you the word can’t. And most importantly don’t use that word yourself! I pinch myself everyday because I am so blessed and thankful that I get to work on sets and with amazing people every day!
